I've just seen Louis Vuitton's Spring Summer 09 collection via this LoVe blog.

I'm loving the burst of colors!  It's got my fave ones like green, yellow and orange.  And don't forget the sprinkling of dots and pieces of leopard print.

And of course, the shoes!  They got this Tiki vibe to it.  I love it them.

My top picks:

She's Leryn Franco and she looks like a doll!  She reminds me of these dolls I got as a child that were smaller than a Barbie but has a cuter wide eyed faces and dressed in what look liked flamenco dresses.

Not only is she a sportswoman, she's also a model and former Miss Paraguay runner up. 
She says she uses her earnings from her modeling to fund her sport.  Too bad she didn't qualify for the javelin finals.

 

After a long tedious week, I finally can rest my feet up and relax...for just a bit coz a lot still needs to be done before this week ends.

Part of my relaxation is to plop down in front of my computer and lose myself wherever the click of the mouse takes me.

And where does it take me?  Where else but to the world wide shoe section of the world.

Is that Marilyn Monroe face???

I live in a tropical country and I should not even bother looking at the Fall 2008 fashion trends.  But I found myself glued to Style.com one evening and dreaming up myself all glammed up in the season's latest trends.

I don't know what it  is with cold-weather dressing that excites me.  All I know, or should I say can imagine, is how soft and luxurious those fall and winter fabrics must be.  Daydreaming being wrapped in cashmere, wool, silk or velvet almost takes me to a cozy cafe in Paris or New York or Chicago.  Oh, and the challenge of layering really gets my creative juices pumping.  It's kind of boring and disappointing how wearing a vest or a scarf can make one break out in sweat.  And the humid weather at times is no help neither.

Or, maybe this fascination with being covered up from head to toe stems from the fact that I don't get to do just that as much as I want to, hence the desire. 

Nevertheless, here are some of the looks I'm obsessing with.

I think lace will be big this coming months.  Check out Prada's Fall 2008 looks.  I think I have a sleeveless lace top somewhere in my closet.  I wonder how I can wear it without becoming sweaty and uncomfy.  Some layering with a flimsy tee could work.



Check out that lace bag!  That's a very nice way of incorporating some "fall" feeling to one's wardrobe.  Black + Lace =  Classic.


Another thing I'm lusting after are the decorative tights from Anna Sui.  Can somebody tell me where I can find something like it?  This would be a clever way to update my wardrobe.  I'm sure I can't afford the Anna Sui's, so I'll just wait til TopShop or somebody comes up with a cheaper version.


 
The second one is what I like best.  Sheer, subtle and sophisticated.  Looks kinda like lace too.

I'm home on a dark rainy day, holed up in my desk, reaching out to the world via the Internet.

Pathetic me, I know.

But, oh no.  Wait til you see what I found after much aimless wandering in the realm of cyberspace.



If these doesn't brighten up a dark damp day, I don't know what will.

Though these babies are nice to have, sadly, I don't have that nice, hefty bank account to fund these dreamy shoes;

Such a LoVely way to display one's treasured chaussures.

Oh well, my day is back again to being blah.

Oh wait!  Here's something I'm sure to chase the dark clouds away (even just the ones in my head).

I hope to see even just a few of these babies next year! (Momentarily visualizes self wearing that plexi-wedge shoes and carrying that logo-printed LV bag.)
